We are visiting WDW in Dec. We have a four year old daughter and we are eating at the castle. Would my 7 year old son be really bored if he went or would he enjoy it too? Is breakfast or lunch better there?

    Suzanne,

They really do try to make it fun for the boys too. They get treated like a knight, and the atmosphere is pretty cool, whether you are a boy or a girl. Now it is still a Princess Character experience. If he is not into meeting the princesses, it certainly won't be an ideal experience for him. But I don't know that I would depict it as boring. So while I would not predict that he recalls it after the vacation as the best dining experience of the week, I doubt he will hate it either.

    Two suggestions.

    1. Go for breakfast rather than lunch, if you can get it. To have his day of thrill rides at the park interrupted mid-day by a hour of going to a princess lunch might cause a revolt.
    2. Plan a meal for him. Let him know that for his sister getting this experience, he has one planned for him as well. I would suggest Whispering Canyon Cafe, or possibly 50s Prime Time Cafe.

    Have a magical vacation!
