Hello. I am visiting WDW in April with my two sons who are 5 and 7. They meet the height requirements for almost everything but I was wondering your thoughts on if they should ride Dinosaur and Expedition Everest. Thanks so much!

You will definitely see young children on those rides. But whether they are right for your kids is really a call that you have to make based on your sons' personalities. I have twins with completely opposite personalities. At age seven one of them LOVED Expedition Everest, begged to go again, still talks about how much she loves it. Her twin sister thinks Pirates of the Caribbean is too scary. They are obviously the same age, but what is right for one is not for the other.

One way to decide is for you or your spouse to go on the ride alone first, this will give you a better idea of whether it is right for your family. Or another plan would be to "work up" to the more thrilling rides. To test your sons' tolerance for speed, begin with the Goofy's Barnstormer. If that works, try Big Thunder Mountain, and then Space Mountain. If they're OK with all of these, then Everest will likely be fine. You could also test tolerance for "scariness" by starting with the Haunted Mansion and the Maelstrom at Epcot. If these are fine and they like dinosaurs, then Dinosaur will probably work for them.
