We will be visiting Walt Disney World in May with the final payment made. We have decided to upgrade to annual passes at checkin at the resort. Would we be able to use Disney gift cards to pay for the annual passes?

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Jennifer!

I’m thrilled to learn you are getting ready to join the magical Annual Passholder family! There are so many benefits to being an annual passholder. From exclusive offers and discounts, download privileges of all your PhotoPass pictures for the entire year, and more. Your Annual Pass will be loaded with value and pixie dust!

Jennifer, great news! You can most definitely use Disney Gift Cards to pay for the difference in your tickets. Disney gift cards are good for almost anything Disney, like theme park tickets and merchandise. Once you arrive, check-in, and activate your tickets, stop by any ticket window or Guest Relations location where a friendly cast member will be able to get your annual passes set up for you! Be sure you do this while your tickets are still active and there are days left in them. I recommend setting this up as soon as you can so you can begin enjoying all those exclusive benefits during your upcoming trip!

Pro tip! Bookmark the benefits and special offers website page to your mobile device so you can easily access it while you are enjoying the magic. That way you don’t miss out on any special deals!

I hope this information was helpful! If you have any other questions or need planning tips, please stop by. We look forward to helping plan all your upcoming unforgettable visits to the Walt Disney World Resort with your newly minted AP status!

    See ya real soon,
