We are visiting Walt Disney World in February. Is there an area where Seniors can go for a rest in the afternoon away from everything?

Hello Ruth, and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

A trip to the Walt Disney World Resort is so memorable and so much fun with the more mature members of my family. We tend to pack a lot of activities into each day of our vacation and a rest in the middle of the day sounds like a good idea.

If you are staying at a Resort Hotel on Disney property, your seniors may want to hop on a boat, bus or monorail back to their room for a few hours to refresh and recharge. If you are not staying on property, there are a few places where you can sit and take a load off and rest. Unfortunately, there is no designated area for seniors to rest at the present time. Grabbing a snack at any quick service restaurant will allow you to relax in comfort for a while. Personally, I like to sit on the benches along World Showcase at Epcot and take in the sights and sounds in the area. My mom prefers to find a shady spot in Tomorrowland near the Launching Pad in the Magic Kingdom Park when she just wants to chill with a Mickey Bar for a while. See ya real soon,

Hi there, I am Andrea from the Buckeye State. A very proud mom to my princess who is a former Miss Ohio. Friends and family describe me as a "Disney Nerd" and Star Wars fangirl. I have made 30 trips and counting to the Walt Disney World Resort in all stages of life since 1972 as a small child, a young mom with a toddler and now as an empty nester. The love of vacation planning runs strong in my family. My uncle had it, I have it and with my help, you will have it too. Learn More About Andrea
