We will be visiting over Thanksgiving Week. We have purchased the disney dining plan. Can you recommend a dining selection for Thanksgiving day for dinner (table service). Thanks

    Hi Mitch,

Thanksgiving week is such a great time to visit. It really gets us in the holiday spirit to see Disney World with all it's beautiful decorations and special holiday events.

Most Disney World restaurants offer a traditional Thanksgiving meal of turkey and dressing on this special day, but hands down, our favorite is Liberty Tree Tavern. This colonial style New England restaurant at Magic Kingdom, just has the feel of an authentic pioneer Thanksgiving. Not to mention the fact that their family style dinner of turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, mac-n-cheese, vegetables, rolls and apple cobbler is mouth-watering. Some of our other favorites to visit on this day have been Cape May Cafe at the Beach Club, which offers buffet selections including turkey and Whispering Canyon Cafe at the Wilderness Lodge. The food here is just as delicious but the atmosphere is perfect. The Wilderness Lodge with its massive Christmas tree nestled in the towering lobby and warm roaring fireplace, has that great Northern woods feel to it.

My only concern is that most Disney restaurants are extremely popular and Thanksgiving is a very busy time for the parks and resorts. If you have not made reservations yet, you may find some locations completely booked. I would call 407-939-3463 immediately to check on availability. You may want to consider eating early or late if you are having difficulty obtaining a reservation.

    Good luck!
