    Theresa from LA Asked

I will be visiting soon with an almost 2 year old who still takes a nap during the day. What are your suggestions of maybe "quieter" areas where we could go to let him rest some, in the afternoon, in The Magic Kingdom park?

Hi Theresa! I will soon be traveling with my almost 9 month old granddaughter and I am so excited to once again introduce the wonderful world of Disney to her. My children grew up with Disney and my other grandchildren and the memories of their first visit are with me forever.

Each park will have Baby Care Center where you can find some quiet nooks to rest and get away from the crazy noise of the parks. I suggest you locate this when you arrive on the park map and head there when it's time. Since the Magic Kingdom is the most popular park with families with younger children you will need to understand that the Baby Care Center will get a lot of use.

So my favorite quiet place in the park is the walkway between Goofy's Barnstormer ride and Space Mountain. This walkway is rarely used by the guests and is a great place to take a break. Please be aware there is a smoking section along the way so you would not want to get too close to that area but it is a long paved walkway with room for all.

Another spot many guests don't even think about is Tom Sawyers Island. You take a boat to get there but once there you can find many hidden spots for a rest or just enjoy walking the paths. Other suggestions include near the bathrooms at Pirates of the Caribbean and Space Mountain. There are benches and both of these places tend to be more quiet.
