We are visiting Sept. 6 - 17 but may have to fly in a day early. Is it better to book another night at our resort or to book a hotel near the airport and catch the ME to Disney the next day? We are watching our budget a little. This is a great panel.

    Hi Brenda,

You have several options aside from staying off-site: I always prefer to stay on-site when I visit Disney World. I know what to expect when I stay there...top notch customer service and a clean, comfortable room. You could always add on another night to your existing reservation. That being said, if you want to save a little money there is another option. If you have a package booked but don't plan on heading into the parks until the next day anyway, you could always book a "Room Only" reservation at one of the Value Resorts for one night. I've done this several times when I found cheaper airfare and decided to come in a day early. By doing this, you wouldn't have to pay for an extra day on your package (which would include another day of park tickets and the Disney Dining Plan if you bought it). The next day, you could simply ask Bell Services to transfer your luggage to your new resort for you, check-in, grab your Key to the World Cards (which include your park passes and dining credits if you purchased them) and head to the parks. Magical Express is really only supposed to be used the same day that your flight arrives. You would need to call them to see if they would allow you to board it the next day if you didn't head directly to Disney from your flight. If they didn't, then you have a whole new expense of a shuttle from your off-site hotel to your Disney resort.

Please let me know if I can assist you further.

    Wishing you a wonderful vacation,
