We will be visiting in Sep with a 1 yr old and a 4 yr old (girls). I was wondering if it is worth it to go to the Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party?

In my opinion, Rachel, the Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party is worth every cent.  My family almost always vacations in September and we visit the Halloween Party every time.  The Magic Kingdom is decorated in full fall splendor during the day.  They step up the decorations a bit at night by adding ghosts, special lighting, and other not-so-spooky decor.  Many of the children arrive in costume.  Our family likes to go all out; we all dress in theme!  One year we dressed as the characters from Peter Pan and then another time we all went as hippies with tie-dyed shirts that said, "Peace, Love, and Mickey."  Even as adults, wandering the Magic Kingdom in costume, we didn't feel a bit out of place.

When you enter the party you'll be given a special bracelet and a goodie bag to stash all that candy in.  The park is scattered with Trick-or-Treat spots easily identifiable by the giant green Goofy's Candy Company balloons (you can find locations on your guide map too!)  Many of the most popular attractions will be up and running and the lines will be minimal.

Our favorite part of the party though is definitely the special parade and fireworks show.  They have great music for both - very catchy tunes!  I can't say enough about the fireworks either; it really is a fantastic show.  You'll also find lots of characters in costumes to have photos taken with, and in years past, they've even done special dance parties in Fantasyland with Suzie and Perla from Cinderella.

If you have an opportunity to attend, my advice would be: Don't miss out on the not-so-spooky fun!
