Visiting 12/6 & PH from AK to HS. Have res for Fantasmic DP for 3:50, which feels rush to get out of AK on time. Is the DP necessary to get good seating this time of year? Considering canceling the res to stay in AK longers+ don't want to wait w/ sml k

    Hi Rebecca!
I guess the more important question is how badly do you want to see Fantasmic? Keeping your reservation at least guarantees that you will see it without the hassle of the 60-90 minute wait beforehand. In addition, Fantasmic is only having one showing on the 6th, so anyone in the park that day will probably be queued to see it.
On the other hand, crowd levels are usually more manageable during this time of year, so maybe the crowds won't be as bad. Very hard to tell.
Personally, I would hit Animal Kingdom at "rope drop" (aka park opening), until about 2:30 and then head over to Disney's Hollywood Studios. Six hours is a good amount of time at Animal Kingdom. At least it is for me. Then again, I love DHS and Fantasmic!
I hope this helps and I wish you a Magical vacation!! :)
