Hi!! I am visiting the parks in December 2017, and looking into renting a car. We are staying at art of animation. Would I need to pay to park at the hotel while we are there? And if we drove to the parks, would we need to pay to park at the parks,

    Hi Jennifer,

Thanks for your question! You've chosen an awesome resort for your stay. The theming throughout will make you feel as if you have stepped right in the Finding Nemo, The Little Mermaid, The Lion King and Cars films.  And the Big Blue Pool is the largest resort pool at Walt Disney World.

The free Walt Disney World transportation from Art of Animation is convenient. Buses pick up and drop off in front of Animation Hall and go directly to their destinations without stopping at other resorts.

No worries if you decide you would rather have your own car. You won't pay extra to park at Art of Animation. Nor will you pay at the theme parks. You'll simply need to have your MagicBand scanned at the parking entrance to show you are a guest at a Walt Disney World resort.

Here's a little bonus of staying at Art of Animation: There's a complimentary drawing class offered in the lobby on select days, usually at 11 a.m., 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. Thursday to Monday. My family hasn't participated, but I've heard praise for it from other Disney Parks Moms Panel members. If you are interested, ask cast members at the front desk for details.

Please let us know if you have any other questions as you plan your Walt Disney World vacation, Jennifer. Enjoy!
