We are visiting the park for our first time and have children who are different heights. Are we allowed to all wait in line for a ride with shorter children and allow those who meet height requirements to ride while the others wait close by the ride?

Hi, Stephanie! Yes! You absolutely can wait in line together as a family.  Walt Disney World queue lines are usually very interesting, and I encourage everyone to investigate them.  Near the loading area, there is usually a "chicken exit." This is for folks who decide not to ride at the last minute or those who, like your family, have party members who are unable to ride and have just waited with others.  If you don't see the exit, simply ask the nearest Cast Member where is it, and he/she will gladly show you. Happy planning and have a Magical vacation!
