when visiting the park in December there was a VIP section roped off in front of the castle to view the fireworks. How do you get those seats?

    Hello Cathy!

Thanks so much for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Getting the VIP treatment for fireworks would be so magical! In December, the VIP viewing area was moved in front of the Castle due to the large tree that is in front of the train station. Typically, the VIP viewing area is on the platform for the Disneyland Railroad - Main Street U.S.A. train station instead.

To get VIP seating for the fireworks and/or parades, there are a few ways to go about it. One is by signing up for one of the VIP Tour Services. These provide a Cast Member who will guide your family through Disneyland Park or Disney California Adventure Park. Sharing the history of the parks and giving wonderful information about the attractions and more.

Another way I’ve heard is to become a Club 33 member. Club 33 memberships are highly coveted and sought after. Many celebrities and executives have memberships as the last I heard, there was a lengthy waiting list to apply. There is an unofficial fan site called disneylandclub33.com that has photos and more information about this exclusive club.

Lastly, sometimes the parks have hosted guests or events. It’s during these that they will have an area roped off either near the castle or at the train station to host those guests for a private viewing area.

My best advice to securing a close spot for the fireworks is to arrive early. There are areas on Main Street near Sleeping Beauties Castle that provide fantastic viewing but my favorite area is in front of It’s A Small World. The crowds are usually less over there and it still provides quite the show!

I hope this helps and let me know if you have any other questions as you plan your visit!

    See you real soon!
