We are visiting in October and are staying offsite this time. Was wondering if you can eat breakfast or lunch at a Disney resort hotel with not staying there. Meaning if I drive there will they let you in at the gates and will there be a parking fee?

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Holly! Before you know it, you will be enjoying your magical vacation at the Walt Disney World Resort!

My family and I don’t always stay onsite. I can tell you from experience, you are more than welcome to dine at any Disney Resort hotel, even if you’re not staying there! Here’s how it will work. When you pull up to the front gate, the Security Cast Member will ask for your identification to confirm that you do in fact have a dining reservation for a restaurant at the resort. Parking at the resort is complimentary while you are enjoying your meal. After you’ve finished, you will have to move your vehicle.

Holly, if there’s a Disney Resort hotel restaurant you would like to try, there’s still time to book your dining reservation in advance. My family and I really liked Kona Café at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort during our last visit. We were there for dinner and had the Island Tuna Poke as an appetizer. It was delicious! Whispering Canyon Café at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge is also a favorite and portions are very generous.

There’s a lot to enjoy during the Autumn season at the Walt Disney World Resort. The Epcot International Food & Wine Festival will be in full swing and the Magic Kingdom Park will be boasting lots of Mickey themed pumpkins! I do love those fall buntings along Main Street U.S.A.!

I hope this information is helpful to you as you’re making those final touches. Oh! Remember to make your FastPass+ selections 30 days before your visit, you will be so happy you did!
