Hello, We are visiting Nov. 15 2019 and was wondering about star wars land and how it is going to work. Rumor has it that it will only be available to DVC members another rumor says it will be limited entry and will need like a fast pass. Can anyone help?

Greetings, Kelly! Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I'm so glad you stopped by to see us again. Let's see what's happening at the Walt Disney World Resort as we gear up to visit a galaxy far, far away!

Kelly, have you been watching as Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge has begun holding its grand opening celebration at Disneyland Resort in California? It's been so exciting to see it all unfold! And what a fitting preview to what we can expect when transport to Planet Batuu begins here in Florida at Disney's Hollywood Studios!

As far as we know at this point, Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge at Disney's Hollywood Studios will be open to all Guests beginning August 29, 2019, subject to Theme Park capacity. There are also plans for extra, Extra Magic Hours from September 1 - November 2, 2019, giving Disney Resort hotel Guests early morning access to the Park. Also, Disney announced that initially, FastPass+ won't be available for Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge attractions, but we're not sure how long that will be in effect.

My advice is to keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog for updates as the opening gets closer. They even have a special page dedicated to all things Star Wars in the Parks, Resorts, and Disney Cruise Line. It's best to rely on this official resource for any and all news on Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge. I promise they won't lead you to the Dark Side!

Kelly, I hope this helps you plan an out-of-this-world vacation at Walt Disney World. Please come see us again if you have any more questions, and may The Force be with you!

    Keep Disney Dreaming,

    Kathy K.

Meet the Panelist: Kathy, Florida

I've lived my whole life just an hour's drive from Walt Disney World, so I've been a regular visitor for as long as I can remember. Even after all these years and so many visits, I love that there's still so much to discover! Now that I'm a mom myself, seeing my favorite place through my son's eyes has given me a whole new perspective that I enjoy sharing with other parents of young children. Learn More About Kathy
