    Louise from Berks Asked

We will be visiting next year and while there my daughter will turn 3, mid vacation, will I need to purchase a park ticket for her, and would I need to bring id for her etc?

Hello, Louise. Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question.

It is so exciting that you'll be visiting Walt Disney World over your daughter's birthday! My daughter has spent many birthdays there and I can tell just how magical it will be for her! Children under the age of 3 at the time of check-in don't require theme park admission for the duration of your vacation. Think of it as a birthday gift from Mickey Mouse. I don't think anyone will question your daughter's age. I've never had anyone stop to ask me about my daughter and I'm pretty sure none of my fellow panelists have been questioned either. Mickey is a pretty trusting guy. If you are worried about it, a copy of her birth certificate would certainly do the job, but I really don't think it's necessary.

Be sure to grab your daughter a complimentary "Happy Birthday" button when you arrive. Your daughter will be delighted with all of the well wishes and maybe a few goodies throughout your vacation while wearing it! If you are looking for a big surprise, Disney Floral & Gifts puts together really special gift baskets that you can have sent to your room. That might just be the icing on the cake for her. Speaking of cake, did you know that you can have a cake delivered to the restaurant you are dining at while celebrating her birthday? There are just so many magical ways to celebrate a birthday at Walt Disney World.

However you choose to celebrate, I know you all are going to have a wonderful time. If I can answer any other questions for you, please feel free to come back and ask.

Meet the Panelist: Jackie, North Carolina

I love all things Walt Disney World.  In fact, since becoming Annual Passholders, my family of 3 is always hopping in the car for a quick trip to visit with Mickey Mouse!  I've been known to make the 8 hour each way drive to Walt Disney World (in one day!) to indulge in a Mickey Waffle or enjoy a sunny day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.  I may have a small family, but we are always up for some BIG fun at the Walt Disney World Resort.   Learn More About Jackie
