We will be visiting in March with a 2 year old and a 6 mth old. Can the family use fastpass and rider switch together? Do we all go through the line and then non rider and kids wait at the exit? I believe the queue is part of the fun especially with Disney

    Hi there Natasha,

As a Mama of two young Mouseketeers who have grown up at the parks, I can tell you we have utilized the Rider Switch Pass many times during our vacations at the Disneyland Resort. For those attractions that may have a height restriction too tall for your younger Mouseketeers or they decide they do not wish to ride, you may utilize the Rider Switch Pass. Not all attractions offer the Rider Switch Pass, however, there are so many attractions at the Disneyland Resort that will accommodate your entire family to ride with no height restrictions. I believe we have used it on attractions when we one of us were utilizing our Disney FASTPASS tickets.

Typically, this pass is distributed for a Guest(s) when he/she is waiting with child(ren) not riding the attraction. Guests should notify the Cast Member upon entering the queue line that they would like to utilize the Rider Switch Pass. One adult will wait with the child(ren) not riding the attraction. After the Guests have waited in line and enjoyed the attraction, the Guests will take turns watching the child(ren) not riding. Then the waiting adult may bring one (1) Guest along with them to enjoy the attraction. That adult and Guest will not have to wait in the regular queue line, the Cast Member will let you know where specifically to return with the Rider Switch Pass. I agree with you that the Disneyland Resort has done a Fantasmic! job imagineering their attraction queue wait lines, however, I recommend asking the Cast Member for a Rider Switch Pass if it’s okay if you all wait together in the standby queue line (since one of you will have to stay back once at the front of the line with the kids(s)).

I hope I added some magic to your day and answered your question. Please write me back if you have any more questions before your next trip to The Happiest Place on Earth.

    Wishing you magic, Natasha.
