we will be visiting in march 2012. with character dining being quite expensive for 3 children we were told that there is a milk and cookies at eight o'clock at nite with characters. do you know anything about this.

    Hi Barbara!

Congratulations on your upcoming trip to Walt Disney World!

Character Dining is definitely a wonderful experience!  I do understand your dilemma regarding the expense of dining with 3 children, though.  However, I have not been able to find any information regarding milk & cookies with the Disney Characters.

Are you on the Disney Dining Plan?  If so, you can use your Dining Plan credits for most Character Dining experiences, so that is one way to save on the expense.

If it is out of your range, there is another Disney Character experience that is free! "Chip 'n Dale's Campfire Sing-a-long" at Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground is a wonderful time of singing around a campfire with these two characters, enjoying making s'mores (from a package you can purchase, optional), and watching a "movie under the stars", weather permitting.  Ask the Concierge at your Disney Resort for more information, or contact Fort Wilderness Campground & Resort at (407) 824-2900.

You will also be able to find your favorite characters throughout all of the Disney Parks each day.  When you arrive in your Park for the day, make sure you pick up a Times Guide near the entrance, when you get your Park Map.  The Times Guide will list specific times and locations where you can find these characters that day.

Have a wonderful time on your vacation!
