Fireworks at Magic Kingdom

Visiting the magic kingdom on a night in May that there is a ticketed after hours event that start at 9. The park closes that night at 9 and the fireworks are scheduled at 9. Will regular park guests be able to view the fireworks?

Howdy Charity!  Thank you for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel and sharing your question!

The Walt Disney World Resort offers many different tickets for a variety of events.  The Disney After Hours at Magic Kingdom Park ticket in May does offer a 9 p.m. to 12 a.m. ticket.  If you have a planned day at the Magic Kingdom Park for that day, you will be able to enjoy all of the attractions until 9 p.m. and after that time you would not be able to experience another attraction unless you have the after hours ticket.  The Happily Ever After Fireworks Show at the Magic Kingdom Park is spectacular.  This is the perfect ending to the perfect day at the Magic Kingdom Park, so make sure to stay around for the show, weather permitting.

I am so excited for you and your upcoming vacation!  2020 is amazing because every park has something special to offer.  Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge is in full swing and an “Out of this World” experience.  Also, Mickey Mouse will be featured in his very first attraction!  Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway is going to be amazing!  Make sure to check out the Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival.  This festival is a definite family favorite.

You are taking your vacation at just the right time.  To stay informed of all the new and exciting things for this year, follow the Disney Parks Blog and the Walt Disney World website.  If you have any more questions, please come back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Charity.  We love to help.
