We will be visiting the Magic Kingdom in May with 5 year old twins and are considering using a FAssPass for the Festival of Fantasy parade. Where will the Fass Pass viewing area for the 3pm parade be and when would we need to check in there? Thanks

Oh, the coveted FastPass+ for the Festival of Fantasy Parade! My first tip is to be ready at midnight EST on the day you can make your FP+ selections to have your best chance at reserving them. I have found on my last two trips that scoring a FP+ for a parade is difficult. Waiting just one day later to make your FP+ reservations can make a difference. But thankfully, I was able to get them for my last trip after learning my lesson the hard way.

The viewing area for the parade is at the "top" of the "spoke" of Main Street across the street and directly in front of the castle stage. The area was roped off and heavily guarded by cast members when we experienced it. You enter from the Tomorrowland side of the circle where you'll see a cast member holding a sign indicating the entrance to the Festival of Fantasy FastPass+ area. There, your MagicBand will be scanned and you'll be admitted. We arrived 20 minutes before the parade and got a seat facing the Liberty Square entrance (directly opposite from where we entered.) It is, in my opinion, the best location to see the oncoming parade as it makes its way to Main Street from Frontierland. The rest of my party went for a last-minute DoleWhip float, arriving less than 5 minutes before the parade began and were still admitted.

Unlike the other parade viewing areas where you must get there an hour beforehand, the FP+ viewing area has lots of room to stretch and move around. Front row, right-under-the-rope seats could be had as late as 15 minutes before parade time. It's a must-have FP+ if you've got children in your party.

Wishing y'all a magical vacation and some pixie dust on landing them!
