We’ll be visiting Magic Kingdom with our 5yo daughter. I just read about the pixie dust at the Barber Shop. What other unique or less known special experiences should we make sure to experience?

Oh, the magic you’re about the experience, Sandra! I simply adore “small magic” and thrive taking my family and friends around Walt Disney World Resort to share it.

If you don’t find any Pixie (or Pirate!) Dust in Harmony Barber Shop, be sure to stop into Castle Couture (near Prince Charming Carousel) and ask who is sprinkling. Then, when you’re dining for lunch at Pinocchio’s Village Haus, bring a pen to write a wish in the Blue Fairy’s Wish Book after waving to other guests as they board It’s A Small World through the large windows. Sometimes, they even have fun signs to hold up and wave. Later on, visit the Magic Kingdom FireHouse to train as a Sorcerer of the Magic Kingdom, battling evil villains with spells all over the park. My son started playing when he was 5, and to years later is continuing to level up in the game! You’ll also want to find the Citizens of Hollywood in Disney’s Hollywood Studios for a great joke or two and then visit The Indiana Jones Stunt Spectacular… you’ll find an excavation well, but pay no attention to the signs. As a family, give the rope a hard tug or two and listen to the well! At Disney’s Animal Kingdom, be sure to dig around in the Boneyard; you never know what your daughter will dig up in this free play place. If you’re hot after your archeology dig, visit Kali River Rapids. If you stand on the bridge overlooking the rafts, the Elephants can spray the riders!

I’d love to share other small magic with you to enhance your trip. There’s so much to see an explore. I’ll see ya’ real soon! ~ Lindsey P.
