Visiting in late Sept with the Water Fun+ option. In between parks, my husband, son (8), and daughter (5) are planning a trip to Disney Quest, 1water park, and 1 mini golf course. Need recos on which water & mini golf, and best day/time for all 3.

Welcome back, Adrienne! You are going to enjoy having the Water Fun and More option. It's like extra magical fun packed into your park tickets. So, here is my take and suggestions on all three.

DisneyQuest is really fun, but is more geared, in my opinion, to older kids. When we took our son several years ago, he was 5 and really didn't enjoy too much of it. However, this was just our experience and every child is different. I would suggest you go during the week and avoid weekends, as locals are more likely to frequent on the weekends. Your best bet would be to go pretty close to opening at 11am as most guests will be at the parks during the day and may start to make their way over to DisneyQuest and Downtown Disney in the late afternoon and evening for a change of pace. Keep in mind that the weather can affect the crowds here as well. Even though it is indoors, if it is raining, it will be a lot more crowded!

In regards to the water parks, I like both, but for different reasons. Typhoon Lagoon has more of the tropical feel and I like wave pool and lazy river better there than at Blizzard Beach. You can also "swim with sharks" at the Shark Reef at Typhoon Lagoon. On the flip side of the coin, Blizzard Beach's Summit Plummet is one of my favorite water park rides. Again, I recommend going at the beginning of the week like a Monday or Tuesday and avoid the weekends for the same reason as mentioned above. Getting there at opening or shortly thereafter allows for better likelihood of getting a prime spot to plant your belongings or relax.

Lastly, the miniature golf courses are a bit of a hidden gem. I have never been when there is a crowd. That is not to say there isn't that possibility. This is somewhere that I like to recommend going in the evening around dusk. It is a little cooler and a great way to end your day. Of the two, I prefer Winter Summerland.

Enjoy your extra "perks" and cherish the memories made!
