We'll be visiting in 2010, with 2 kids, 7 & 5. We want to do character dining such as Cinderella & Mickey's BBQ but we don't want to do a sit down dinner every night. Which plan is best choice, quick services or sit down meal plan?

Hi, Lori!  The Basic Disney Dining Package sounds like it would work for you.  For each night of your stay, each guest in your party will receive a table service credit, counter service credit, and a snack credit.   I know you don't want a sit-down meal each day, but experiences such as Cinderella's Royal Table and Mickey's Backyard BBQ are each 2 table service credits, so this would still work out for you.  You may have to purchase a few meals and pay out of pocket, but you will probably still be ahead by using the Dining Plan.

For more detailed information on Disney Dining Plans, click HERE.    This should help you decide which plan will work best for your family.    You might also want to visit www.allears.net and click on DINING.   Check out some restaurants you would like to visit and look at the average costs of meals.  This might help you with your decision.   Good luck with your planning!
