We are visiting for the first time in October. My DD will be two whilst we are there. Can you recommend a character dining experience that will keep my five year old son (and his grandparents) happy as well? We would like to dine in the parks if possible.

I have to admit that our favorite birthday spot is Chef Mickey's, which is not in the parks.  It is, however, in the Contemporary Resort, which is just a short monorail ride away.  This is a must-do-every-trip for our family, and a very fun place for a party.

In the parks, here are my favorites:

Magic Kingdom - Crystal Palace with Pooh and Friends.  This popular restaurant serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and I don't think I've ever heard a bad review.  Lots of fun!

Hollywood Studios - We LOVE Play & Dine at Hollywood & Vine!  They serve a character lunch and dinner where you can eat with Jo-Jo and Goliath from Jo-Jo's Circus, and Leo and June from Little Einsteins.  Food is great, and the kids love the singing and dancing that keeps them entertained.  We eat here on every trip.

Animal Kingdom - Donald's Safari Breakfast.  This is one of the only places you'll be able to meet Daisy Duck, so that alone makes it pretty special!

Epcot - Garden Grill the spot for a character dinner.  The whole restaurant slowly rotates so you never have the same view twice, which is interesting for kids.  The food is a set menu served family style, and is good but not superb.

    Hope that helps!
