    Visiting Epcot on New Years Eve. We are DVC members. Plan to arrive at Epcot early, but would like to leave the park to let a small child rest a while then return. If the park reaches capacity, can we re-enter w/magic your way ticket - no parkhopper.

    Linda,

    Unfortunately if the park reaches capacity, it is full, period. The bottom line is that if you return to your resort to take a breather, you will only be allowed to re-enter the park if it has not yet reached capacity.

    Now you will find a lot of answers here that mention how parks can reach capacity. But what should you do to prepare? Here is what I do;

    1. Gauge the crowd. Get a feel for how busy it really is. Sure, Epcot will get a late-in-the-day surge, as people prep for an evening out, but you can get a good feel for how busy it is that day.
    2. Have a contingency plan. Is a full-blown nap a requirement? Would just some quiet downtime be adequate? If so, consider a visit to the Baby Care Center. Perhaps some quiet time, maybe even a light nap on Mom's lap, could recharge the tyke enough for your needs?
    3. Have a worst-case-scenario plan. Make plans for what you would do if you did not get back in to Epcot. Maybe a fun night on the BoardWalk?

    With a good back-up plan, you should have fun either way!

    Have a magical vacation!
