We are visiting Epcot May 19, 2019 with two children ages 7 and 5. Can you recommend a fast pass plan? We will be at the park before rope drop.

Hi Janice! I love that you are gearing up to make your FastPass+ selections very soon.

When making FastPass+ selections for my family, I always try to make them for the late morning and afternoon. Like you, I try to be at the parks 30 minutes to one hour prior to opening. You really can get so much done in the morning! I really notice lines getting longer right before lunchtime so that's when I try to make our first selection.

At Epcot, the FastPass+ selections are on a tiered system. You'll be able to select one option from tier one and two selections from tier two. In tier one you'll find:
    • Frozen Ever After
    • Test Track
    • Soarin' Around The World
    • Illuminations: Reflection of Earth
    • Epcot Character Greeting
In tier two you'll be able to select from these options:
    • The Seas with Nemo & Friends
    • Living with the Land
    • Disney & Pixar Short Film Festival
    • Journey Into Imagination With Figment
    • Turtle Talk with Crush
    • Mission: SPACE
    • Spaceship Earth
If I were planning your trip, keeping in mind your kids ages and assuming they are both taller than 40 inches, I'd try to grab FastPass+ selections for Frozen Ever After, The Seas with Nemo & Friends and Turtle Talk with Crush. If you do arrive early, you'll be able to knock out the other big attractions like Soarin' Around The World and Test Track before the World Showcase opens. Up next is lunchtime and your FastPass+ selections with little to no wait. In the evening you shouldn't have a problem enjoying other attractions like Living with the Land and Journey Into Imagination With Figment without much of a wait.

I hope this helps, happy planning!

Meet the Panelist: Jackie, North Carolina

I love all things Walt Disney World.  In fact, since becoming Annual Passholders, my family of 3 is always hopping in the car for a quick trip to visit with Mickey Mouse!  I've been known to make the 8 hour each way drive to Walt Disney World (in one day!) to indulge in a Mickey Waffle or enjoy a sunny day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.  I may have a small family, but we are always up for some BIG fun at the Walt Disney World Resort.   Learn More About Jackie
