    Sandy from VA Asked

We are visiting during the Pro Bowl 2017 weekend in January and wondered what impact it will have on the parks? When and where is the 5K being run? And when/what day is the Pro Bowl parade @ Magic Kingdom? Many thanks,

    Hi Sandy,

Lots of football fans are super excited about the Pro Bowl activities coming to Walt Disney World and its ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex in January.

I haven't been able to find any specific information about the activities beyond the original announcement on the Disney Parks Blog earlier this summer. Often such schedules aren't announced until closer to the date. I would expect the list of activities to be posted first on the Disney Parks Blog, so I recommend keeping an eye out there. You also can register for updates at ProBowl.com.

In general, a special event such as this shouldn't have a major impact on the crowds at the theme parks, except maybe during the parade of Pro Bowl players. Much of the activity appears to be centered at ESPN Wide World of Sports and Disney Springs.

January is traditionally a slower season at Walt Disney World, so the crowds likely will remain fairly light. I'd still suggest making your advanced dining reservations and your FastPass+ selections as soon as possible to be sure you get your top choices.

Thanks for dropping in at the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question. I'm sorry I didn't have any details for you right now. Enjoy your visit!
