We will be visiting Disneyworld in October and will be staying off-property. My parents are retired military and are purchasing our tickets through Shades of Green. Will we still be able to make fastpass reservations in advance?

    Hi Sylvia!
October is one of my favorite times of year to visit the Walt Disney World Resort! The answer to your question is yes, but only if you have the exchange passes you will receive in lieu of tickets before you arrive.  Typically, you can purchase Disney 4-Day Military Promotional Tickets through your local Information, Tickets and Travel/Morale, Welfare and Recreation (ITT/MWR) office on a military base. They will give you (usually green) exchange passes that you trade at the Ticket Window or Guest Services for actual tickets when you show your valid military ID. The code on the back of those exchange passes can be entered into My Disney Experience and can be used to make FastPass+ selections 30 days in advance of your arrival.

If you purchase your tickets at Shades of Green when you arrive, you can do the same thing but you won't have as large of a window to make your FastPass+ selections.

Please come back and see me if you have any additional questions and please thank your parents for their service.

    Best Wishes,
    Amy B.
