Hi! We'll be visiting Disneyland soon, and my mom wants to go with us but is handicapped (wheelchair) and can't ride most rides. Is she somehow able to wait with us while we wait to go on rides? We have Maxpass if that helps.

    Hi, Julie!

I’m happy to let you know that the Disneyland Resort is committed to providing a welcoming and inclusive environment and accessible experience for all Guests with Disabilities.

Upon arrival at the Disneyland Resort theme parks, I recommend stopping by a Guest Relations Main Entrance location to speak with a Cast Member about your mom’s specific needs -- Disability Access Service or other accommodations may be provided. Depending on the Attraction, Guests using a wheelchair or ECV will either wait in the standard queue, or receive a return time comparable to the current wait time. Return times can be issued at any regional Guest Relations kiosk within both theme parks.

Here’s a guide specifically for guests with Mobility Disabilities. It highlights which Attractions require Guests to walk, which Attractions require Guests to transfer from an Electric Conveyance Vehicle (ECV) to a provided wheelchair, which Attractions are wheelchair and ECV accessible, and which Attractions require Guests to transfer from their wheelchair or ECV into a ride vehicle.

For Mobility Access information, you can view, download and print helpful guides found here. Simply scroll down to Guides for Guests with Disabilities.

Please don’t hesitate to ask a Cast Member for any additional assistance!

    See ya’ real soon!

Meet the Panelist: Kristin, California

Hello from sunny California! I currently live less than an hour from the Disneyland Resort, and have been an Annual Passholder for about 20 years! As a mom of three kids under the age of 7, I consider myself an expert at navigating the Disneyland Resort with little ones. My family of five can’t get enough of the magic and happiness we encounter every time we step foot on Main Street, U.S.A. I look forward to sprinkling pixie dust on your next visit to “The Happiest Place on Earth!”
