I am visiting DIsneyland in late Feb for my daughter's 5th birthday. I want to do a princess character meal, but I understand that is no longer an option. What is the best way to get her a princess experience without waiting in too many lines?

Hi, Ashley! Thanks for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

My daughter is 5 years old as well and over the past few years, we have done just about every princess-y thing available at the parks, so I’d be happy to provide some information on meeting our regal friends. Your first stop should be Royal Hall in Fantasy Faire where you will meet up to three princesses in this one location. Additionally, a few princesses and their beaus, like Rapunzel and Flynn Rider, will meet in the courtyard just outside Royal Hall. You might also want to stay in this area to see a really fun retelling of either Beauty and the Beast or Tangled in the Royal Theatre. After a morning in Fantasy Faire, head over to the Mark Twain Riverboat where Princess Tiana can usually be found. Use the Disneyland app to look up exact times and locations to meet princesses around both parks.

If your daughter wants the royal treatment, book a princess makeover at the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique! There are many packages to choose from to give your daughter a magical birthday experience. My daughter even got a cute little birthday princess sash during her makeover.

Next, hop over to Disney California Adventure Park where you can meet Anna and Elsa and perhaps take in a performance of Frozen – Live at the Hyperion. This Broadway-quality show features all the characters and songs from the movie and is perfect for any princess fan. You can even secure preferred seating by booking a Frozen Dining Package.

I hope this helps. Have a delightful time at the Disneyland Resort!
