    Janelle from NSW Asked

Hi We are visiting Disneyland from 15th January 2018. I noticed there is a special event on the 18th January. Does the park close early on this date. The event starts at 8pm to 1am.

    Dear Janelle,
Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
I am very excited to learn you'll be visiting the Happiest Place on Earth next month!
The event you're talking about is called Disney After Dark. It's the first in a series of several special ticketed events where guests can enjoy Disneyland with unique entertainment and special features!
On that particular night (January 18), I checked the Park Hours and confirmed the Disneyland Park will close at 8pm. After that, only guests with Disney After Dark tickets may stay until 1am.
However, even with the early closing time, you can still maximize your visit by:
*Getting an early start (guests of Disneyland Resort Hotels get an Extra Magic Hour before regular park opening hours)
*Adding MaxPass to your tickets on the day of your visit in order avoid long attraction queues. With MaxPass you can book your FASTPASS attractions through the Disneyland Mobile App!
*Making advanced dining reservations so you can walk right into your preferred table service restaurant without having to wait in line for food.
My other suggestion is that you consider buying a Disney After Dark ticket!
These events are a one-of-a-kind engagement and the event taking place on January 18 will be retro-themed night to remember the early years at Disneyland.
Among the fun experiences expected that night, a tribute band playing songs from the 60's at Main Street, U.S.A; special menus at select restaurants, and much more.
    I hope this helps.
    Have a Magical Time!
