We will be visiting Disneyland with our grand children and one of them is confined to a wheelchair. What are the rules regarding kids with wheelchairs and what do we need to know about getting in the lines for the rides with her?

    Greetings, Mark!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I can't wait for you and your family to experience the magic of the Disneyland Resort. You are all going to have a blast when you "Get Your Ears On" at the Happiest Place on Earth.

The Disneyland Resort is committed to ensuring everyone has a magical experience no matter what, so you will find that there are a number of accommodations for Guests with disabilities. Upon arriving, I suggest stopping by City Hall in Disneyland Park to discuss your grandchild's specific needs and concerns with a Cast Member in Guest Relations. Guests with mobility concerns will still be able to enjoy most of the attractions and entertainment at the Disneyland Resort just as a Guest without disabilities would. You can view the requirements for boarding each attraction online or on the official Disneyland app before arrival. Some attractions allow Guests to stay in their wheelchair and some involve transferring. I also love that there are alternate wheelchair-accessible versions of attractions like Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage and Sleeping Beauty Castle Walkthrough. When you approach each attraction, just ask the Cast Member for that specific attraction's boarding procedures.

You are just going to adore the classic attractions of Disneyland Park as well as the thrilling and immersive attractions and lands at Disney California Adventure Park. Guests of all ages also love meeting Characters and seeing world-class entertainment and nighttime spectaculars. Don't forget that most of these will also have accessible seating areas.

I hope this helps, and I wish you a magical day!
