    Alyssa from HI Asked

Hi, we're visiting Disneyland in a couple weeks. Are we allowed to bring in our own food/snacks and drinks?

Hey there, hi there, ho there, Alyssa and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Mickey and the gang want every Guest to feel at home and sometimes bringing your own snacks is the best option for families.

Yes, you may bring your own food and beverages into the theme parks as long as they are within the Park Rules. The big items to avoid (your bags will be searched at the security points as a safety precaution) are glass containers and alcoholic beverages. You may bring in glass jars of baby food. We always pack our own snacks including chips, energy/granola bars, plastic bottles of water, and cookies. We have carried sandwiches and crackers as well to help save some money. Of course, we always buy a Mickey's Premium Ice Cream Bar to complete our Disney experience. They are just soooo good!

Before you arrive, make sure to download the Disneyland app. This piece of Mickey magic is the best way to see wait times, have interactive theme park maps, use Mobile Food & Beverage Ordering to save time in lines as well as make Disney FASTPASS selections if you have Disney MaxPass (totally worth it).

Disney Dad Tip: Tom Sawyer Island is a neat place to make a picnic for lunch or snack time.

Have a Fantasmic! trip and please let us know if you have any other questions so we can share the pixie dust to make your Disney vacation enchanted.

Alyssa, enjoy making many Magical Memories.
