We'll be visiting Disneyland CA in July with a large family group, including my parents who are close to 90 years old and haven't been to Disney in decades. Does Disney offer any sort of senior discount for adults of this age? Thank you.

Hey howdy hey, Jennifer, and thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I’m so excited for your upcoming getaway to the Disneyland Resort – it will be here before you know it!

What an incredible adventure, to experience the Happiest Place on Earth with your large family! Unfortunately, the Disneyland Resort doesn’t currently offer any senior discounts. Tickets are broken down into three categories: Ages 10+, ages 3-9, and children under the age of 3 receive complimentary admission. I recommend keeping an eye on the Offers & Discounts page in case there are any special promotions that apply to you and your family. In the past, the Disneyland Resort has offered a ticket specifically for Southern California residents, which was a great deal. That offer is typically introduced in January, and runs through the end of May. Hopefully we’ll see it return in 2020!

To help plan your Disney day, I recommend checking the Entertainment Schedule for your day of arrival. Be sure to catch one of the exciting nighttime spectaculars, including World of Color or Fantasmic! Disneyland Forever fireworks are also returning soon, so you’re in for some Disneyland Resort magic!

I also recommend downloading the Disneyland app – it’s a handy helper to make your park days less stressful! You can use it to check wait times, find your favorite Characters, make dining reservations, mobile order food and drinks, and utilize Disney MaxPass. These tools are always super helpful, especially when traveling with young children and/ or seniors!

Lastly, if your parents have any special health considerations or trouble standing in lines, you may want to consider Disability Access Service (DAS). DAS is available for Guests whose disability prevents them from waiting in a conventional queue environment. The Guest and their group are instead issued a return time that’s comparable to the current queue wait time for a certain attraction. If you think this may be helpful for your parents, you can stop by one of the Guest Relations Main Entrance locations to discuss your parent’s particular needs with a Cast Member. There’s a location in City Hall in Disneyland Park, or in Chamber of Commerce in Disney California Adventure Park.

Keep in mind that wheelchairs and electronic conveyance vehicles (ECVs) are also available for rent near the Main Entrance of Disneyland Park.

I hope this information helps. Please stop by with any additional planning questions you may have… we’re all EARs!

    See ya’ real soon!

Meet the Panelist: Kristin, California

Hello from sunny California! I currently live less than an hour from the Disneyland Resort, and have been an Annual Passholder for about 20 years! As a mom of three kids under the age of 7, I consider myself an expert at navigating the Disneyland Resort with little ones. My family of five can’t get enough of the magic and happiness we encounter every time we step foot on Main Street, U.S.A. I look forward to sprinkling pixie dust on your next visit to “The Happiest Place on Earth!”
