    Heather from AB Asked

We are visiting Disneyland in April. My son has a congenital heart condition which makes him become more tired than other kids his age (8). He is too tall for the stroller. Can I rent a wheelchair for him for the 5 days that we will be in the parks?

    Hi there, Heather!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, and thanks for this great question. Your spring vacation will be here before you know it, so I'm glad you are already planning the details of your trip!

I'm so sorry to hear that your son has this condition, but I'm glad it isn't preventing you from making magical memories together as a family at the Disneyland Resort. I'm happy to let you know that you are more than welcome to rent a wheelchair for your son in the parks. These are offered on a first-come, first-served basis per day and cannot be reserved in advance, so I recommend arriving as early as possible. I also recommend stopping by Guest Relations in City Hall of Disneyland Park to go over any other specific needs your son and family may need to make your trip as comfortable as possible. There are many accommodations available for Guests with disabilities and special needs.

Keep in mind that there are also plenty of attractions that offer some time to relax and rest your feet in both parks. We love riding the Disneyland Railroad, Disneyland Monorail, or Mark Twain Riverboat when we want to rest and take in some amazing views. I also recommend watching impressive shows like Frozen - Live at the Hyperion or Mickey and the Magical Map.

I hope this helps, and feel free to return if you have any other questions. Have a Fantasmic day!
