We are visiting Disney World in October and we will be celebrating my daughter's 8th birthday. What can I plan for that day to make it really special?

I always think that celebrating a birthday at Walt Disney World is the best! I have been at Epcot on my birthday and it remains a highlight to this day. I would begin at the Magic Kingdom. Head on over to City Hall on Main Street U.S.A. Inside the friendly cast member will provide your child with a Personalized Birthday Celebration Recognition Button. You can also get a phone call on the antique phones from your pal Goofy with birthday wishes. From there I would get her a set of 'it's my birthday' special Mickey Mouse Ears (they also have a great birthday hat with candles that is awesome). With these on your daughter will be hearing birthday wishes all day from both cast members and the friendly folks you meet walking up and down the Happiest Place on Earth. From there, I would suggest letting her decide on which rides and even if she wants to ride in the front row. I know my 9 year old daughter is a huge fan of front row on the fast attractions. Lastly, I would make a point of meeting the big cheese himself, Mickey Mouse, at the Town Square Theater at the Magic Kingdom. He will be happy to give an autograph and pose for a photo with the birthday girl. These are just a few of the many ways to create real lasting family memories at the Happiest Place on Earth. See you at the parks.
