Hi, I will be visiting Disney World on November 24-30, 2016, I want to resort hop & wanted to know which are the best resorts to visit? I will be staying at Port Orleans Riverside, but deciding if I should stay at Art Animation since we are party of 5.

    Hi Jessica,

The Walt Disney World resorts, which all have so much to see and do, can be attractions all on their own. My family always spends some time during the holiday season visiting a number of resorts to take in the decorations and the ambiance.

We make a special effort to get to the Wilderness Lodge. With its giant fireplace and Pacific Northwest lodge theme, it always feels so Christmas-y, even if it is still warm outside here in Florida. We usually combine our Wilderness Lodge visit with a snack and a drink at the Territory Lounge and a little time relaxing in the rocking chairs in front of the fireplace.

I also recommend taking a tour of the monorail resorts near Magic Kingdom. The Contemporary, Polynesian Village Resort and the Grand Floridian all have their own themed decorations that are so different from each other. You also don't want to miss the Gingerbread House at the Grand Floridian.

You will find lots of options for shopping, dining and relaxing in all the resorts.

If you have time, you also may want to see what gingerbread creation is featured at the Boardwalk resort lobby. There's so much to do at Boardwalk as well, including the new Ample Hills Creamery, the newly renovated Flying Fish Cafe and the new AbracadaBAR.

I hope that gives you some ideas for exploring. Enjoy your visit!
