We will be visiting Disney World in March of 2019. We will only have 1 day in each park. It will be my husband and I with two 15 yr olds, an 8 yr old & a 5 yr old. How, when and where do I start planning to make sure we get the most out of this trip?

    Hi Jessica,

I'm SO excited to hear that your family will get to experience the wonder of a Walt Disney World Resort vacation next March! With lots of Mouseketeers of various ages in your family, your family sounds a lot like mine. One thing that I really love about our Disney vacations is that we can enjoy so many attractions and experiences together.

I'd say there's no time like the present to start planning! I know that it can be a bit overwhelming, so I'm happy to point you in the right direction! There are some wonderful planning videos that could help you get a feel for the Resort and each theme park. The main things that you'll want to think about this far in advance are how you'll get here and where you'll stay. I definitely recommend staying at a Disney Resort hotel. Not only will you not have to miss a minute of the magic, but there are lots of wonderful perks like complimentary MagicBands, Resort (and even airport) transportation, and access to Extra Magic Hours and early FastPass+ booking. If you'd like, you may book a Disney Resort Hotel Package, which will include your lodging, tickets, and even dining. Speaking of dining, the reservation window opens 180 days in advance, so that's something else you'll want to think about at this point.

Other than making FastPass+ selections closer to the time of your trip, that's about it! If you'd like help with the different pieces of your visit, please come back and ask us more questions. We love helping Guests plan the same kinds of amazing Disney getaways that our families enjoy. Thanks for visiting us, Jessica, and have a truly magical vacation!
