If I am visiting Disney World in January during the off peak season, how important is getting a fast pass?

    Hello, Alexis!

No matter what time of year that my family and I visit Walt Disney World, I always try to follow one simple rule: Be prepared! I know we're not talking kings and successions like the villainous Scar from The Lion King, but anything that you can do to save time on your family's vacation is worth the extra effort. It could mean a difference of twenty or more minutes waiting in line per attraction, which can really add up.

If you plan on visiting any of the park headliners, it is especially important to make FastPass+ selections in advance to save the most time on your vacation. At Magic Kingdom Park, I recommend Seven Dwarfs Mine Train and the 'mountain' rides -- Space Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad and Splash Mountain. The other theme parks also have really unique and popular attractions that can see long waits, and I encourage you to check out the FastPass+ options before your visit.

Please keep in mind that Guests of the Disney Resort hotels can book FastPass+ selections up to 60 days in advance. All other Guests can make FastPass+ selections up to 30 days in advance with valid theme park admission.

I hope that you and your family make many magical memories on your Walt Disney World vacation, Alexis! If you would like personalized recommendations for FastPass+ attractions, please do not hesitate to stop back by the Moms Panel. Happy planning!
