We are visiting "Disney World" for the first time over Thanksgiving break '08. I am looking at guidebooks and wonder since many are out in the '09 versions but we'll be there in '08 which version is the better choice?

When choosing between guidebook versions, the most recent books are your best bet.

Remember the 2008 versions went to press, most likely, in 2007. While some guidebooks make minor updates each year, other books are not only making sure the information is up-to-date but also include new enhancements each year. And by the time the book reaches the shelf, changes have already been made in WDW. It's difficult to keep up with the ever-changing world of Disney. That's why many guests supplement their guidebook research with real-time online sources such as allearsnet.com.

My favorites are the PassPorter books by Jennifer and Dave Marx and the Unofficial Guide to WDW by Bob Sehlinger and Len Testa.
