We are visiting Disney World in Feb 2016 for my daughter's 11th birthday. Aside from the Bibbidi Bobbidi boutique and the pirate makeup, are there any other places to take her to get her hair and make up done & feel pampered/special?

Hi Annette! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

I can’t think of a better way to celebrate a birthday than at the Walt Disney World Resort! There are so many ways to make your daughter feel special and some of them don’t even have to cost extra!
As long as you are with your daughter, you can schedule an appointment at Senses – A Disney Spa at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort. Maybe the both of you could do a mother/daughter day with pedicures and manicures. They also have a Kids Menu for kids age 4-12 with a Magical Manicure and a Princess Pedicure. These are 25 minutes in length each and are just like an adult manicure and pedicure but just shortened.

When thinking about celebrating a birthday at Disney, I like to think of things that I can do with my kids that money can’t buy. Maybe she wants to tackle all of the “mountains” at Magic Kingdom in one day. Maybe she wants to take pictures with her four favorite Disney Characters. I know I love dancing with my kids to the Move It! Shake It! Dance & Play It! Street Party. Maybe she wants to watch Wishes while snuggled up next to you. I think that the best memories are created just by being with each other! So with all of the excitement that is sure to surround you, make sure to stop and take time to take in all of the magic.

I hope that you and your daughter have a wonderful birthday celebration! I hope that you make many magical memories that you will think about for years to come!
