I will be visiting Disney World with my entire family in March 2018. We will not be staying at a Disney Resort. Are we still able to purchase Magic Bands and use them in the theme parks? Thank you!

    Hey there, Kathy!

Our first family trip to the Wald Disney World theme parks we stayed off property but I was determined to have the most magical experience ever. So I headed over to the shopDisney website faster than Flash from The Incredibles.

Even though you will be staying at an area Orlando hotel, you can still use MagicBands to store your theme park tickets, FastPass+ selections and PhotoPass pictures. Once your magic mail arrives, be sure to link your MagicBand to your My Disney Experience account. Log in to your account, click on MagicBands and Admission Cards and follow the prompts at the bottom of that page to link your new MagicBands for your entire family.

You can also purchase MagicBands once you arrive at your first theme park at any gift shop. A Cast Member in the store can assist you with activating your MagicBand.

Kathy, have the most magical time ever at Walt Disney World! If you have more questions, please visit with the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
