Hi ,we'll be visiting Disney in October. We have purchased the standard dining plan. Do children age 9 and under have the option of choosing a buffet or do they have to order from a children's menu if the restaraunt has both options? Thanks!

    Hi Amy,

Is there a specific restaurant you have in mind?  I can't think of any restaurants that offer both buffet and a la carte options at the same time.  Akershus has a cold buffet (similar to a salad bar) that is included in all meals.  At Whispering Canyon Cafe there is an all-you-can-eat skillet meal that is on the regular menu and the kid's menu.

In my experience, the restaurants that offer a buffet don't have a separate menu to order from.  Both kids and adults can enjoy anything the restaurant serves.  The same applies for restaurants that serve family style meals.

Hope this helps.  Have a magical vacation!
