HI! We are visiting Disney for our FIRST time in September! We will be staying at the All Star Music Resort, 3 Night, 4 Day trip. Where do I park for the ENTIRE stay? Is it BETTER to use Disney's Transp. to get to & from the Parks & Character D

Parking at the theme parks is complimentary to guests staying at a WDW resort. You will need to show resort id and a parking pass will be provided.

The Magic Kingdom (MK) would be the least convenient park to get to with your own car and you may want to take the bus to this park. For MK you will park at the Transportation and Ticket Center and then take a tram to the monorail station. From here, you will board the monorail or the ferry boat to reach the MK.

The resort bus will drop you off near the MK entrance turnstiles!

It’s relatively easy to park at the other 3 theme parks. We also park at Typhoon Lagoon. Finding a parking spot at Downtown Disney is sometimes difficult when visiting over the weekend or other busy times (especially near the Christmas holiday season). However, I still prefer to drive to this location.

Disney transportation can become difficult when traveling from one hotel to another. We have also found longer wait times when trying to get to Downtown Disney.

I know many families that prefer the buses and many that would choose their own vehicle or rental car.
I found it much easier to have our own vehicle when our son was younger. Returning to our quiet van was much calmer for him (and us) than entering a noisy bus. Although we took noise levels in to special consideration as our son had some sensory issues due to being premature. Consider if you will have your own stroller or if you are renting one as loading strollers on parking lot trams (and buses) is often a struggle.

I would take the bus to the MK and perhaps drive to the other parks that you are touring. For meals at other hotels, drive! We have also used our own transportation to the Magic Kingdom when arriving early for a character meal. It was just easier to hop in our vehicle and be on our way rather than stress over getting to the bus stop in time to get on the first bus of the day.
