We will be visiting Disney at the end of August - Labour Day at Port Orleans FQ. We would like to visit the Richard Petty Driving Experience at WDW Speedway near MK and was wondering what the easiest way to get there is as we will not have a car.

Hi Marty, Thanks for visiting the Moms Panel! I recently had the opportunity to try the Richard Petty Driving Experience - Rookie Experience. It was truly the thrill of a lifetime.

Honestly, the quickest and easiest way to get to the Walt Disney World Speedway from Port Orleans French Quarter is to rent a cab. It would likely cost between $10-$20 and would save you a considerable amount of time. However, if you would like to use the on-site transportation instead, then you'll want to do the following: Take a bus to the Magic Kingdom or Epcot. Then get on the monorail and take that to the Transportation and Ticket Center. Once there, head over to the Kennel. The shuttle to the Richard Petty Driving Experience will pick you up there. It starts running about 30 minutes before the first ride of the day (so around 7:30am on most days). It comes every 20-25 minutes after that until 4:00pm.

If you are planning on getting behind the wheel (which I HIGHLY recommend), then you'll want to be sure to make a reservation by calling (800) BE-PETTY.

    Have a Magical vacation,
