We are visiting Disney in early October, is Disney Quest an appropriate place to visit with an 8 and 3 yr.old?

    Hi Pamela,

DisneyQuest has been a "must do" on my family's itinerary since my boys were about three years old.  I think a visit would be a great addition to your Disney trip.  DisneyQuest is an indoor, interactive "virtual" theme park, located inside a huge five-floor building at Downtown Disney.  There are virtual rides and experiences such as Jungle Cruise (where you board a raft and paddle through a prehistoric river during the Dinosaur Age, while trying to avoid obstacles and getting splashed) that your entire family can enjoy.  At Animation Academy, an instructor guides a "class" of guests through drawing one of their favorite Disney characters.  My boys absolutely love this experience, and have a collection of artwork that they created here.  There is also a large gaming area designed just for young children.  They can reach all of the consoles without standing on their tippy-toes, and the games are relatively simple and appropriate for little guys.

DisneyQuest tends to get crowded during the evenings (especially on weekends), when many guests make their way to Downtown Disney for dinner and entertainment.  We, therefore, usually try to earlier earlier in the day.

October is a wonderful time of year to visit Disney World.  The summer crowds and heat have moderated, and the Magic Kingdom is ready to welcome Halloween!  Have a wonderful trip!
