Visiting Disney in Early December 2011. Arriving late afternoon/early evening on a Saturday. Wondering what to do on first night. We did not get a park ticket for this day. I have four children - 6, 4, 3, and 9 months at time of trip. Downtown Disney?

    Hi Jennifer!

December is my favorite time of year in Walt Disney World because of all the interesting and free things to do there!  I will give you a few things that I love to do in December:

    1. Look at the Christmas decorations in the Monorail Resorts (the Contemporary Resort, the Polynesian Resort, and the Grand Floridian Resort and Spa) and if you have time visit the Wilderness Lodge Resort

    2. Watch Wishes from the Beach of the Polynesian Resort

    3. Go to the Boardwalk on Crescent Lake right in front of the Boardwalk Resort in the evening to watch the street entertainers and also look at the Christmas decorations at the Yacht Club Resort, the Beach Club Resort, and the Boardwalk Resort.

    4. Head to Downtown Disney for some dining and eating.  Don't forget to stop at the Lego Store!

I hope that your December Walt Disney World vacation is truly magical for you and your family!

    Keep Dreaming Big!
