Sunset at Disney's Animal Kingdom

Hi, I am visiting Disney Animal Kingdom in May, I get to set up the Fast Pass 60 days head. Do people typically use one of their first 3 fast passes for the Rivers of Light evening show?

    Hi Kimberly,

The answer depends on how much of a priority seeing Rivers of Light is for you and your family. I typically don’t include it in my first 3 FastPass+ selections for a day at Disney’s Animal Kingdom because I’ve had good luck snagging one as my 4th (or even 5th) FastPass+ selection later in the day. Don’t forget that, once you’ve used up your three first selections, you can make more throughout the day, availability permitting. If you still have the FastPass+ selection for Rivers of Light associated with your account, however, you won’t be able to make any other selections for the rest of the day.

That being said, if you’re planning to visit during a particularly busy week in May (around Memorial Day weekend, for example) and seeing this show is a priority for you and your family, then I would include it among your first selections.

Another option, one that would maximize your FastPass+ flexibility throughout your Disney Day, would be to make a reservation for the Rivers of Light Dessert Party. Having dessert for dinner is what vacation is for! Another excellent option would be a Rivers of Light Dining Package, which I've enjoyed several times at Tiffins, one of my favourite Disney dining locations.
