Visiting Dec 16-23 for first time with husband, kids 17,14,&12. Have Quick Dining but would like to sit down 1-2 times. Planned MK for 20th to see parade. Can you help with planning sit down places and which parks which days? I am overwhelmed. Thanks!!

Sherri, in a few days you will be right in the middle of the holiday magic! Planning any trip to Walt Disney World can be overwhelming. Thanks for letting me help you map out your vacation.

Are you staying at a WDW resort? Do you have base park tickets or Park Hoppers? How many days do you plan on visiting the parks during your visit? To get started I will assume that you are staying on Disney property, visiting one park per day, and that your first and last days are for traveling. Some of the major factors in creating an itinerary are Extra Magic Hours- additional times the parks are open to guests staying on property-, restaurant reservations, and attraction wish lists. With these considerations in mind, a possible itinerary is: Magic Kingdom: 17, 20 ( the late night EMH on the 17th will be a blast for your teenagers), Epcot: 18, Disney's Hollywood Studios: 19, and Disney's Animal Kingdom: 21.

For one of your table service meals your family would love the kitschy atmosphere at the 50's Prime Time Cafe in Hollywood Studios where the servers are part of the fun. Another good spot in this park teenagers would enjoy is the Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater. The food here is standard burgers and milkshakes but the nighttime setting and black and white sci fi flicks playing on the big screen are a hoot. My teenagers still enjoy the character dining at Chef Mickey's in Disney's Contemporary Resort. The bountiful breakfast buffet is our favorite. No one is too old for Mickey waffles with Mickey. 'Ohana at Disney's Polynesian Resort is another fun choice for lunch or dinner. Endless skewers of meat, a beautiful view of Cinderella Castle, and coconut races make for a great meal.

Once you have your meal reservations you might need to change your itinerary. Please contact me once you have booked your meals and we can fine tune your plans.
