I am visiting this coming June & was wondering how early the bus goes from Disney Springs to Animal Kingdom Lodge? I would love to go to AKL for breakfast before hitting the parks.

    Hi Glenna!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! We use the Walt Disney World® Bus Service often during our visits, so I am happy to assist you with this question!

Currently, official bus service begins from Walt Disney World Resort Hotels about 45 minutes prior to the time Disney Springs opens. On the first date of your visit, the currently posted opening time for Disney Springs is 10:00 a.m., so the earliest bus from Disney Springs to Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge might be about 9:45 a.m. Although on prior trips, for us, bus service has started earlier (sometimes later) than official times, I would hate for you to miss breakfast, so I suggest that you consider Disney Minnie Van™ Service Connected by Lyft. My family adores this service - the vehicles are super cute, and our drivers have been quite knowledgeable. We have also used Uber and Lyft ride share services and, in our experience, those have been quite affordable.

I do hope you make advanced dining reservations. Aside from Boma - Flavors of Africa at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge, we love breakfast at Akershus Royal Banquet Hall, The Crystal Palace, and 1900 Park Fare. For dinner, we adore dining at 'Ohana and California Grill during the Happily Ever After Fireworks. The views from California Grill are fantastic!

Glenna, as you make those reservations, remember to download the My Disney Experience Mobile App so that you can track, modify, and/or cancel plans as you go. And do take advantage of Mobile Food and Beverage Ordering - it has saved us so much time!

    Magic and memories,
