We are visiting Christmas week and I have heard that each resort hotel has their own way of decorating. Is there a list of what each hotel does or is there a list of the ones that I definitely want to put on my list to visit. I heard GL does GB Houses.

    Hello, Susan,

When it comes to holidays, Walt Disney World does an amazing job with the decorations.  It is truly one of my favorite times to visit.  And while there isn't a list, you can count on all of the resorts to be decked out in holiday spirit. Of all of the resorts, the Deluxe Resorts are often the best ones.

Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa has a stunning tree that fills the lobby as well as a life-size gingerbread house. You may even find chestnuts roasting outside the entrance of the resort and strolling carolers. Both Disney's Wilderness Lodge and Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge have jaw--dropping trees in their lobbies that reflect the designs of the resorts. Disney's Beach Club Resort traditionally has an actual spinning chocolate carousel while its neighbor Disney's Yacht Club Resort has a miniature train moving through all sorts of holiday goodies and sweets. Disney's Contemporary Resort has been creating a 17 foot tall gingerbread tree, too.

If you are relying on Disney transportation, it is easy to take the monorail to visit 3 resorts: Disney's Contemporary Resort, Disney's Polynesian Village Resort, and Disney's Grand Floridian & Spa. You can also take a boat from Disney's Contemporary Resort to Disney's Wilderness Lodge. While at Epcot, you can walk to Disney's Yacht Club Resort and Disney's Beach Club Resort. If you don't mind a little longer walk, you can also visit Disney's Boardwalk Inn. There are also boats that stop by the resorts from both Epcot and Disney's Hollywood Studios. Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge is a short bus ride from Disney's Animal Kingdom.

Wishing you unforgettable holiday memories! -Kara
